Net Blogs for Good Reading

Traveling is my passion and collecting information on various topics is another. During my leisure time I visit different websites which give interesting information that add to my knowledge and where I can comment and exchange information with. Recently while net surfing I came across a very interesting website which gave quite a few blogs having correct and interesting information. There were wonders of the world along with scientific discoveries, history, geography, you name it and it was there.

Blog the Best begins by giving information of the seven wonders of the modern world selected through 90 million votes cast in 21 sites on the Internet. They include The Great Wall of China, Petra in Jordan, Statue of Christ in Brazil, Machu Picchu in Peru, Chichen Itza Pyramid, The Colosseum in Rome and the Taj Mahal in India. This Blog by Rosie includes the 7 wonders of the Ancient World, the 7 Wonders of Medieval Ages, 7 natural wonders selected by CNN, the 7 wonders of the Underwater World assembled by CEDAM International and the 7 wonders of the Industrial World featured by the BBC.

The Wonders of the world are truly great. Just imagine the Victoria falls with the water gushing down reminds me of the Niagara Falls of the US and Canada, though Victoria Falls is definitely much more spectacular. Going through the creation of the Panama Canal and how it has shortened the route and saved millions of dollars is truly interesting.

A new scientific invention announced on a blog on this website talks of a shower which changes its color according to the temperature of the water flowing through it. Isn’t that great? Trust an interesting website like www.blogthebest.com to inform the readers of this new invention. It would be so convenient to use this item. There would be no need to test he water, nor any fear of it being too hot or too cold before starting it. One look at the shower and one will know if it is suitable or not. There are other blogs on effectiveness of houses, whether they would be whether conducive or not.

Did you know that a 2,500 years old Greek Ship has been discovered lying on the sea bed off the Sicilian coast Italy? Isn’t it amazing that the sea water has not spoilt this ship? That the artifacts can still be collected from this ship after all these years? It is certainly a well preserved wreck. Studies suggest that a storm might have created havoc and blown off this ship, tore a hole and sunk it to the bottom of the sea. What a pity! So many lives must have been lost.

Ever heard or read about an ice hotel? It really does exist in the North of Sweden in the Arctic Circle. It is built every year when there is plenty of ice and the architecture is great, they say. When it is time for summer, it naturally melts paving the way for a fresh new Ice Hotel the following year.

When we consume chicken, little do we think about its life. A concerted effort by Television chef Hugh Fernlay-Whittingstall in his show, ‘Hugh’s Chicken Run’ has managed to change the mindset of millions of people. They now buy free range eggs whose sales have risen by more than 50 % because of his campaign. He has decided to improve the quality of life and the welfare of chickens.

The above mentioned blogs are just the tip of the iceberg. There are many more such interesting blogs on www.blogthebest.com that anyone who goes through it is bound to be impressed and waiting to read more.
